We offer financial assistance in order to remove financial barriers that keep promising students from receiving the very best education. This year, 18% of our student body benefitted from financial assistance and we are determined to expand our ability to help students and their families in this way. Financial assistance is directly tied to the financial need of individual families. As a member of Financial Aid for Student Tuition (FAST) powered by Independent School Management, our school is able to have an external organization evaluate the financial need of individual families so that the information provided will be held in complete confidence. FAST will provide us with a recommendation, which the SMUS Financial Assistance Committee uses to decide on the level of financial assistance to award to a particular student. Families interested in applying for financial assistance must complete the online application form, which you can access by clicking the FAST button to the right. The online application provides instructions and help as you fill out the form. Deadlines for FAST Applications
We ask all financial assistance recipients to re-apply each year so that the level of assistance can be awarded according to each family's current situation. If you would like us to provide you with an addressed envelope so that you can follow up your application by sending hard copies of your tax information to FAST, please contact Jennifer White, Assistant to the Head of School through or phone (250) 370-6139. If you wish to mail your tax information directly, the address is: Independent School Management Letter to current families from Head of School, Bob Snowden, regarding the change .
